WWE SmackDown Viewership Up From Last Week With Roman Reigns vs. King Xavier Woods

Friday's live WWE SmackDown drew an average of 2.104 million viewers on FOX, according to Nielsen, via Showbuzz Daily.

This final number is up 0.53% from last week's final viewership of 2.093 million viewers, and up 5.25% from the overnight viewership released on Saturday morning, which was 1.999 million viewers.

Friday's SmackDown drew a 0.56 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is down 1.75% from last week's 0.57 rating. This week's 0.56 key demo rating represents 728,000 18-49 viewers, which is down 1.62% from the 740,000 18-49 viewers that last week's 0.57 key demo rating drew, according to Wrestlenomics.

SmackDown ranked #1 in ratings for the key 18-49 demographic on network TV, up from last week's #2 ranking. SmackDown ranked #1 in the 18-34 demo this week, in line with last week's #1 ranking. SmackDown ranked #3 in the 25-54 demo, up from last week's #4 ranking, and tied with 20/20 and Magnum PI. SmackDown came in at #8 for the night in viewership on network TV, down from last week's #7 ranking. Blue Bloods on CBS topped the night on network TV in viewership this week with 6.103 million viewers, while SmackDown on FOX topped the night in the 18-49 key demo rating with the 0.56.

Friday's SmackDown had no major sports competition, just average competition from the NBA, World Cup soccer, college basketball and college football. The SmackDown numbers were around what the show has been doing as of late. Friday's viewership was up 0.53% from last week's episode, while the key demo rating was down 1.75% from last week's episode.

The NBA game between the Bulls and the Warriors on ESPN topped the night on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.68 key demo rating, drawing 1.983 million viewers. The Five on FOX News topped the night on cable in viewership with 3.200 million viewers, ranking #12 on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.21 key demo rating.

Viewership for Friday's SmackDown episode was down 5.81% from the same week in 2020, while Friday's 18-49 key demo rating was down 6.66% from the same week in 2020.

Friday's live SmackDown from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, VA had just a few happenings advertised ahead of time – an appearance by Sasha Banks to address Shotzi, Rick Boogs and WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Los Lotharios, plus the main event, which was the non-title match for the right to rule SmackDown between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and King Xavier Woods.
