AEW Rampage Results (2/18) – White Vs. Beretta, Hobbs Vs. Dante, Adam Cole

Matches were recorded Wednesday at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

Four matches are announced for tonight's show, including two championship matches.

  • Face of the Revolution Ladder Match qualifier: Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Dante Martin
  • Jay White vs. Trent Beretta
  • Adam Cole vs. 10
  • Serena Deeb's 5 Minute Rookie Challenge

Adam Cole vs. 10

10 overpowers Cole early on, and puts him down with a shoulder block.

Cole goes low and backs 10 into the corner. 10 turns it around and puts Cole into the corner for some strikes of his own. 10 takes down Cole with a big German suplex.

10 mounts Cole in the corner for some punches. Cole goes low to escape. Cole goes outside the ring and wraps 10's leg around the ring post.

Back in the ring, Cole delivers a reverse neckbreaker. Cole goes for a suplex but 10 overpowers him into a delayed vertical suplex.

Cole kicks at 10's leg to regain control. Cole tosses 10 outside the ring. 10 is favoring his left knee. Cole slams it against the steel ring steps.

Cole rolls 10 back into the ring. Cole wraps 10's knee around the middle rope. 10 hits a forearm to escape but can't follow up because he's hobbled by his bad knee. Cole hits a pump kick as we head into the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, 10 is laying some strikes on Cole. Clotheslines take down Cole. 10 follows up with a spinebuster.

10 tries for a full nelson. Cole reverses into a backstabber for a 2-count.

Cole goes up to the second rope. 10 reverses the Panama Sunrise into a back body drop. 10 hits a discuss lariat and that gets a 2-count.

10 throws Cole into the corner. Cole retaliates with a running sidekick. Cole again climbs to the second rope. This time the Panama Sunrise attempt is met with a spear by 10. That gets another 2-count.

10 goes for the full nelson again. Cole reverses it into a rollup for a 2-count. 10 locks on the full nelson. Cole pushes off the corner into a rollup and 10 has to let go of the hold to get out of the pinning attempt.

10 goes for the full nelson again. This time, Cole backs referee Aubrey Edwards into the corner and hits a low blow that she couldn't see. Cole hits The Boom and that gets the pin.

Adam Cole defeats 10 via pinfall

Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish meet Cole on the ramp as they celebrate the win.

Recap of CM Punk's announcement Wednesday night that he'll face MJF in a dog collar match at the Revolution pay-per-view.

Face of the Revolution Ladder Match Qualifier: Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Dante Martin

Taz during Dante Martin's entrance: "You're looking at a heathen. This is not a good person."

Hobbs attacks and kicks down Martin in the corner before the bell rings.

After the bell rings, Hobbs charges into a kick by Martin. Martin springboards right back into the grips of Hobbs but elbows his way out of it and dropkicks Hobbs to the outside.

Martin leaps to the top rope for a dive but Hobbs pushes him off. Hobbs hangs Martin over the top rope and pushes him off to the floor.

Hobbs goes outside the ring and throws Martin into the ringside barricade. Hobbs throws Martin into the ring on the fly between the top and middle rope.

A huge throw by Hobbs sends Martin across the ring. Hobbs throws Martin across the ring again as we go to the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, Hobbs has Martin in a bear hug. Martin escapes into a corner and lands a few strikes.

A hard clothesline by Hobbs ends the rally and gets a 2-count.

Hobbs drops a knee on Martin. He pulls down his kneepad and goes for another knee drop but Martin moves and Hobbs misses.

A clothesline by Martin has little effect. A springboard European uppercut does take down Hobbs. Hobbs rolls outside. Martin follows with a springboard twisting splash onto Hobbs.

Martin rolls Hobbs back into the ring. Martin climbs to the top rope and hits a missile dropkick for a 2-count.

Hobbs overpowers Martin into a spinebuster and that gets the pin.

Powerhouse Hobbs defeats Dante Martin via pinfall

Hobbs qualifies for the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. Wardlow and Keith Lee are already qualified.

Backstage with TBS Champion Jade Cargill. She wants to know who's next. Matt Hardy enters with The Bunny and says she should be the next challenger. Mark Sterling agrees to a match next week.

Serena Deeb vs. Angelica Risk

This is another one of Serena Deeb's 5 Minute Rookie Challenges.

Deeb finds a hammerlock, takes down Risk and steps on Risk to mock her.

Deeb takes down Risk again and grinds her boot on Risk's head. Deeb charges with a clothesline to Risk in the corner. He pulls Risk's throat up against the bottom rope. Deeb covers Risk but pulls her up before the referee can finish the count.

Deeb lands a European uppercut and follows with a powerbomb.

Deeb locks on the Serenity Lock and gets the submission victory.

Serena Deeb defeats Angelica Risk via submission

Back from the break with a recap of Wednesday's segment with Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson.

Mark Henry is speaking with tonight's participants in tonight's main event. He wants to know why Jay White attacked Trent Beretta. White says he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. White admits not everyone may know who he is, but Beretta knows who he is. Beretta welcomes White to AEW and says he's gonna "slam the forbidden door in your knife pervert face".

Wednesday's AEW Dynamite:

  • TBS Championship: Jade Cargill vs. The Bunny
  • Malakai Black & Brody King vs. Pac & Penta El Zero Miedo
  • Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho face-to-face
  • Tag Team Battle Royale for a spot in the 3-way AEW Tag Title match at Revolution

Next Friday's AEW Rampage:

  • TNT Championship: Sammy Guevara (c) vs Andrade El Idolo

Excalibur also announces two new title matches for Revolution:

  • AEW Championship: Hangman Page (c) vs. Adam Cole
  • AEW Women's Championship: Dr. Britt Baker (c) vs. Thunder Rosa

Jay White vs. Trent Beretta (with Orange Cassidy)

White takes control early and boots Beretta down in the corner. Beretta fires back with some chops.

White reverses a whip into the corner but charges into an elbow. Beretta takes down White with another elbow and works him over with some chops in the corners.

Beretta lands an overhead throw. White rolls to the ring apron. Beretta grabs White by the hair but White pulls down Beretta across the top rope. White rams Beretta against the ringside barrier and the side of the ring.

Beretta reverses a whip by White into his own and that sends White into the ringside barrier. White reverses a whip into the barricade by Beretta but Beretta charges back with a clothesline and sends White back into the ring.

White is against the ropes and lures in Beretta for a side suplex over the top rope. Beretta hits the ring apron as he falls to the arena floor.

That takes us into the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, White is in control and hammering the ribs of Beretta. Beretta finally escapes by pulling White into the second turnbuckle.

White rolls to the floor. Beretta follows him out with an Asai moonsault onto White. Beretta also caught a lot of the floor on that.

Beretta rolls White back into the ring. He lands a flying back elbow into the corner. White catches Beretta with a Flatliner. White follows up with a German suplex.

White charges into the corner and misses. Beretta hits a tornado DDT for a 2-count.

Beretta hammers White with some forearms. White covers up and gets a break. But Beretta follows with a dropkick that sends White to the floor.

Beretta charges for a spear and runs into a knee from White. White suplexes Beretta into an open folding chair on the floor.

White rolls Beretta into the ring. White lands a uranage for a 2-count.

White grabs Beretta from behind. Beretta elbows out of it and lands a backdrop driver.

Beretta charges right into a Bladerunner attempt but Beretta escapes into a half-and-half suplex. Beretta hits a running knee and that gets a 2-count.

Beretta tries to get White up for Strong Zero but his back gives out. White and Beretta trade forearms in the center of the ring.

White appears to be taunting Beretta but Beretta ends that with a big clothesline. Beretta hits a modified piledriver for a near-fall.

White gets a reversal out of nowhere and hits the Bladerunner for the pin.

Jay White defeats Trent Beretta via pinfall

White stands over Beretta after the match and gets in the face of Orange Cassidy after the match. White chooses to roll out of the ring and walks away instead of escalating things further.
