WWE SmackDown Viewership And Key Demo Rating Down From The Previous Week

Friday's live edition of WWE SmackDown drew an average of 2.226 million viewers on FOX, according to Nielsen, via Showbuzz Daily.

This final number is down 1.54% from the previous week's final viewership of 2.261 million viewers.

Friday's SmackDown drew a 0.57 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is down 3.38% from the previous week's 0.59 rating. This week's 0.59 key demo rating represents 745,000 18-49 viewers, which is down 3.24% from the 770,000 18-49 viewers that the previous week's 0.59 key demo rating drew, according to Wrestlenomics.

SmackDown ranked #1 in ratings for the key 18-49 demographic on network TV, even with the previous week's #1 ranking, and for the third week in a row. SmackDown ranked #1 in the 18-34 demo this week, even with the previous week's #1 ranking, and for the third week in a row. SmackDown ranked #3 in the 25-54 demo, down from the previous week's #1 ranking. SmackDown came in at #7 for the night in viewership on network TV, up from the previous week's #8 ranking. Blue Bloods on CBS topped the night on network TV in viewership this week with 6.140 million viewers, also drawing a 0.46 key demo rating for the #4 spot.

Friday's SmackDown drew the fifth-best audience of the year, and tied with the February 25 post-Elimination Chamber show for the fourth-best key demo rating of the year so far. Friday's viewership was down 1.54% from the previous week's episode, while the key demo rating was down 3.38% from the previous week's episode.

Viewership for Friday's SmackDown episode was up 2.53% from the same week in 2021, while Friday's 18-49 key demo rating was down 6.55% from the same week in 2021.

The ACC Tournament game between Miami and Duke on ESPN topped the night on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.55 key demo rating, drawing 1.862 million viewers. The Five on FOX News topped the night on cable in viewership with 3.517 million viewers, ranking #11 on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.28 key demo rating.

Friday's SmackDown aired live from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, AL with the just two matches advertised ahead of time – Big E and Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus and Ridge Holland, plus WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina Vega and Carmella vs. Naomi and Sasha Banks, which didn't happen. The main event saw WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet retain over Sami Zayn.
