AEW Rampage Results (4/15): Hangman/Cole AEW Title Texas Deathmatch

Three matches are being promoted for tonight's show.

Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta) (w/William Regal) vs. Gunn Club (Billy Gunn, Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn)

Danielson, Yuta, and Moxley all get separate entrances. Regal enters with Yuta and then takes a seat at the commentary desk.

Yuta and Austin start out. Austin gets the better of an early exchange and trips up Yuta. Yuta turns the tables and goes to work on Austin's arm.

Austin escapes and tags in Colten. He whips Yuta into the corner but Yuta swats away a dropkick and ties up Colten's legs. Colten gets to the ropes to break the hold.

Yuta tags in Danielson, who continues to work on Colten's legs. He works his way to a surfboard on Colten.

Danielson releases Colten and Colten tags in Billy. Billy pushes Danielson into the corner and whips him into the corner. Danielson avoids a charge and lights up Billy with chops and kicks. Danielson hits one running kick into the corner but Billy meets him on his second attempt and takes him down with a clothesline as we go to the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, Colten is grounding Danielson with a headlock. Danielson fights his way back to his feet but charges into a dropkick by Colten for a 2-count.

Colten tags in Austin, but Danielson starts firing away with strikes. Austin does a Roman Reigns "OOOaaah" and charges right into a takedown by Danielson.

Danielson tags in Moxley. He takes down Colten with a series of clotheslines. A back elbow takes down Colten again. He lifts Colten onto the top rope and goes up to get him. Moxley brings Colten in with a superplex from the second rope.

Austin ties to come to the rescue but Moxley plants both he and Colten with a double DDT. Colten finally gets a tag to Billy, but Billy runs right into a lariat by Moxley.

Yuta tags in and gets a near fall on Billy. The BCC starts to clean house. Double dives to the outside by Danielson and Moxley are cut off by a double clothesline by Billy.

It's Yuta and Billy facing off. Yuta goes right after Billy. Billy hits his old One And Only finisher but Yuta kicks out. Regal is delighted by Yuta's resilience.

Billy goes for the Famouser, but Yuta reverses it and rolls up Billy to get the pin.

Blackpool Combat Club defeated Gunn Club via pinfall

That is the first loss for Gunn Club as a trios unit in AEW. They entered tonight's match with a 24-o record.

The Butcher vs. Barrett Brown

Shawn Spears has joined the crew at the commentary desk.

Brown tries a dropkick from the top rope to start but Butcher shrugs it off.

Brown lays in some strikes but it's having no effect on Butcher. Butcher goes to work with some strikes of his own. Charging clothesline into the corner takes down Brown. Butcher hits a powerbomb and that gets the pin.

The Butcher defeated Barrett Brown via pinfall

Backstage comments from Dustin Rhodes. He says he's been on one last ride for quite some time. He reminds us that he beat Lance Archer and proved he still has it after so many decades in the business. Dustin is making a challenge to "one of the greatest professional wrestlers on the planet". He wants a match against CM Punk on next Wednesday's Dynamite.

Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament Qualifying Match: Ruby Soho vs. Robyn Renegade

Renegade powers Soho into the corner to start and does some taunting.

Soho grabs a hammerlock but Renegade reverses and taunts her some more.

Soho fires up and lays in some strikes and headbutts. Soho charges into the corner but Renegade avoids it and catches Soho in mid-handstand in the corner with a kick to the face for a 2-count.

Renegade locks on a camel clutch in the middle of the ring as we go to the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, Renegade is still in control. But Soho quickly takes it back with a backdrop suplex.

Soho with a clothesline and back elbow to take down Renegade. Headscissor in the corner by Soho to drive Renegade into the middle turnbuckle.

Renegade goes to the eyes and rolls to the floor, where her twin sister Charlette Renegade rolls out from under the ring and switches places with her.

Soho dives from the top with a senton and gets double knees from Charlette. Charlette hoists up Soho who slips out and hits No Future. Charlette manages to roll out and back under the ring.

Another Renegade, presumably Robyn, runs in from the opposite side and tries a rollup but Soho kicks out. Soho hits No Future and pins Robyn Renegade for the win.

Soho is surprised to discover she just beat two people.

Mark Henry chats with Hangman Page and Adam Cole. Page says he's going to end things tonight. Cole says nope, he is gonna end Page tonight.

Texas Deathmatch for the AEW Championship: Hangman Page (c) vs. Adam Cole

Page immediately goes under the ring for some steel chairs before he gets in the ring and gets right into Cole's face before the bell rings.

Referee Paul Turner gets them separated and rings the bell.

Page and Cole pick up the chairs and start swinging at each other. A few misses before Page connects. The fight spills outside and Cole creates some distance but Page boots a steel chair right into Cole's face.

Page throws Cole into a ringside barricade. Page sends Cole into the steel ring steps too. Page rams Cole into the timekeeper's table.

Cole is just trying to survive but gets sent over the barricade by Page. They start to brawl through the crowd with Page in firm control. Both men make their way up the steps of one section of seating. He gets a beer from a fan and hits Cole with it.

Cole flees all the way back into the ring. Page is right behind and lands some shots as soon as gets back into the ring with Cole.

Page gets a steel chair and climbs to the top rope. He fakes a moonsault to bait Cole into trying a superkick and then hits the moonsault to the standing Cole.

Turner starts a 10-count but Cole gets back to his feet. Page props up the chair in the corner and rams Cole's head into it.

Cole rolls out of the ring. Page opens the chair in the middle of the ring and takes a seat to relax for a few moments. Turner starts the count on Cole, who is busted open. Cole beats the 10-count as we go the picture-in-picture break.

Page set up a table at ringside during the break.

Cole took control during the break. He sat Page in a chair in the ring and hit The Boom to Page's face. That is not enough to keep Page down for the count.

Back from the break, Cole now has a steel chain tied to the top rope. Page fires up and hits a series of strikes, but he charges right into an outstretched steel chain held by Cole.

Cole sets up two steel chairs back to back. Cole tries a superkick but Page blocks and hits Cole with a Death Valley Driver onto the tops of the chairs.

Turner starts the count for Cole. Page goes under the ring and gets more steel chairs into the ring.

Cole lures Page into a kick to the gut. Panama Sunrise is reversed into a Dead Eye by Page. Turner starts the count for both men.

Cole rolls to the floor to get back to his feet. Page goes for a moonsault from the top rope to the floor but Cole is waiting with a mid-air superkick.

Page gets back to his feet and rolls into the ring. Cole is waiting and hits the Panama Sunrise. Taz is certain that Page is finished. Page's chin is bloodied, presumably from the superkick by Cole.

Page beats the count at 9. Cole is on the ring apron and goes up to the top rope. He pulls Page up with him. He wants an avalanche Panama Sunrise but Page fights out of it. Page goes all the way up and hits a fallaway slam from the top rope! Cole lands on the pile of steel chairs in the ring.

Turner starts the count. Cole is able to beat it.

Page grabs a chair and sets up in the middle of the ring. He sits Cole in the chair. Page sets up another chair across from Cole and sits down. He challenges Cole to trade strikes with him and Cole obliges. They rise to their feet, still trading strikes.

Page tries to sneak out to the ring apron for the Buckshot Lariat, but Cole hits a superkick. Cole tries to charge on Page but runs right into a Buckshot Lariat.

Page takes off his belt and ties Cole's right arm to the top rope. Page goes under the ring and gets a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire.

Page is hesitant to hit Cole with the barbed wire chair and tosses it aside. He unties Cole and Cole immediately hits a low blow.

Cole hits a superkick and another. He runs in for The Boom but Page hits a lariat. Page ripes the barbed wire off the chair and wraps his arm in it.

Cole hits a superkick to slow down Page. Page is on the apron and Cole tries for the Sunrise but Page meets him with a barbed wire forearm. He lifts up Cole and hits the Dead Eye on Cole off the ring apron and through the table set up at ringside.

Turner starts the count. Cole can not answer the count. Hangman Page is still AEW Champion.
